I know alot of people like to say all this bullshit about about him but FOR REAL:
No one has that kinda flow…No one.
No one uses the Metaphors, similes, hyperboles, insinuations, or the different poetic styles(lymric,Epitaph, Ghazal, monorhyme,Rondel, etc.) quite like he does. Plus he Keeps it educated and street at the same time and always has a message. Most niggas (i’m sorry to say) aren’t bright enough to get alot of the shit he says. You can listen to his songs and catch something you probably didn’t get the last time you listened. ANd the references he makes to certain things also tend to go over the average persons’ head if they have never came in contact with such thins, read those books, studied that poetry or know things about that craft in which he speaks about. To fully appreciate him, you would have to be truely cultured in many different areas.
I think if he would have came out in like the 90’s or anytime other than this current day and age of dumbasses and simpleminded, not-well-experienced niggas only concerned with money cars and girls, he would have been the top rapper of that era.Period. cuz hands down, there has never been a nigga as profound as he, and ther probably never will again. It’s a shame that “real” talent doesn’t shine anymore.(most is all image) Cuz back in the day (even in the 90’s), MOST of the rappers out today, would have never been signed with thier lack of skill.

It all honesty Lupe Fiasco may be the greatest lyricist to ever hold a mic. He is easily far better lyrically then 98% of the rappers in the game. He is also easily the last great rapper to come out. Hip Hop will die if there is not another rapper who can go toe to toe with Lupe. Or if Lupe doesn’t receive his credit.

Lupe Fiasco’s success is going to determine Hip Hop’s future. mark my words. He is 2pac, BIG, Nas , Em, Andre 3K, Mos Def and Jay wrapped in one.

Lupe is good but not one of the best rappers.. I think Jay Z is better and can prove it until lately with his last cd.. I mean he definatly deserves more credit in the game..
