When i was growing up i am not gonna lie i was into wrestling not as much as my friends because i learned at a very tender age that it was fake and believe me it hurt my heart.I was up early on them saturday mornings waiting to see The Ultimate Warrior in action i even painted my face like him for halloween and all that. Like the WWF which by the way branched off to the WWE,ECW and so many other names i lost count record labels have sprouted like wild fire which produced countless of rappers,mc’s,producers and ceo’s.
In wrestling its all about your appeal like in the music industry mainly rap. If you got a good name along with the a scheme to match than your in there.On any given night the true underdog can defeat the giant. What did you do when you found out there was no such thing as the tooth fairy, santa clause or the boogey man? I can tell you when a tooth was lost i didn’t expect nothing but a hole in my mouth and i wasn’t putting cookies out on Christmas eve and sleep was easy to get knowing that noise was nothing but noise.
It pains me to see the things i feel in love with were all lies. Like Hip Hop i use to love her no doubt i would read all the latest magazines and hang them pictures on my wall for real as The Notorious One would say. I actually was hurt to see him go and in the fashion he left, But i always knew i could pop in my tape and make it seem like he was still here. From the first day i heard a rap/hip hop record i always thought of those busting flows were special individuals like Ed they had it made, but little did i know they needed us more than we needed them and i could be one of them needing you.
So here we are in a world where you know its just a trick and the magic can only take effect if you allow it to trick your mind in believing what you saw. Like i will say over and over again i know its a business, but does it make it right. Like them tobacco companies yes they are selling death, but they are doing it legally within the laws allowed by our good government.Do you remember when you would see tobacco adds everywhere even in those rap magazines we all read as kids?
My point is its crazy how this world works and the people in it. As if there is not anything else as interesting as today’s cheap imitation of entertainment.These rappers give you the people exactly what you want and it is a shame that some of you expect so little.I by no means will allow the choice to be made for me. I know its all a front in most cases and if i don’t buy into it well that would make one of us, But if some of yall would follow my lead and demand more than we could change the way they attempt to entertain us.Unless you are indeed being entertained than so be it.Continue to work hard for your money that they work so easy to take from you!

You have no point….i think you’re tryna say that rap is all lies….but you have a hard time expressing yourself through writing. But if that is your Theme of ur ugly article, then u are an idiot because its not lies its entertainment. If ur gonna ramble about the falsehoods in music, then you shouldnt listen to it, you shouldnt watch any TV nor should u read most books because they are fiction as well…..Get my Drift??? SOOOOO Plz Think thoroughly about the subject in which u are writing about next time…Your grade is a D-, now go study!
And with rap, there are alot of fakers and posers and there are a handful of legit people true to what they say.
The crossover from entertainment to lies comes when the person performing the entertainment,believes what they say they are.Just like if you were to say you’re hella smart,… that is very much up for debate my friend. cuz some of us aren’t getting that impression.lol

it’s all matter of how you look at rap music. some will say “it’s just entertainment” and some will say “it’s a lifestyle”. both are true and wrong at the same time. depends on your perception.
for example: take gucci mane and joe budden. both entertainers? yes. but it’s clearly that they are not in the same entertaining league.
gucci is a better entertainer..sells more than budden..is better known worldwide..etc.
budden is a better rapper..has better lyrics, wordplay etc..
and that’s why gucci is considered as an “entertainment rapper” while budden is a “real MC”.
even though, y’all could twist this shit a 180 and will take it straight different.

so yeah, it is entertainment. some rappers have some truth in their songs, most don’t. it’s all on us, fans, listeners how we take that entertainment.
I dont know any big time rappers but if I had to guess, I would say that 90 percent of what the say they do is more then likely not true. The only thing is I accept that. when I listen to a my ipod I dont always try to relate to the subject matter because most times I can’t cause I didnt do that shit but its a good story and I can appreciate that.
PS: THe ultimate warrior was a fuckin beast. I liked rody rody piper<——(thats what the girls call me. lol) but when I was younger and I was picking out my halloween costumes I decided I couldn’t wear no damn kilt.

I feel you on the the grammer. BUT this is a blog not a doc or a thesis. I would think that blogs have a little lean on correct grammer. I might be wrong but…

I dont see some rockstar lil’ wayne. I see a dude with a lot of tats, who grew up with Cash Money records, under baby, and is working hard as hell at it still trying for that fame and money. When he tells me that he pops guns on his raps, i dont believe it for a second. A kid may believe it quick. I think they do.
Your final point is what i love. It is good for bizness the way they treat rap, country, and rock. Its probably bad for the genres of music. I came up with this metaphor a few weeks ago when i was thinking about this stuff.
Mainstream music is like music mixed with lithium the anti-depressents. You dont get wrong music. Music that sounds like a homeless guy made it, fucking bad like the beats your brother makes. You get stuff by a trained and skilled sound engineer with a paycheck and whatever whatever.
But you get really safe bullshit, thinks that haven’t sold are aren’t selling or is so obvious marketable (example “tatoo” the lesbian rusian band that makes out) that shit aint comming out. You are left with a bland taste in your mouth. None of the fire of a great dish or the dismay of the wack.
Things that aren’t proven 2 be profitable or obviously profitable will not be promoted. The music industry chops the hi’s and the lows of music away from the listener. You get a bland taste. You can never get that brand new dish. Prolly bad for rap.
